Key Moments of the Match
In the first half, Huracán were the side that controlled the ball. Particularly through their pressure in the midfield, which left their opponents little room to play, the hosts had no trouble creating chances. In the 23rd minute, Rodrigo Cabral’s powerful strike from outside the box went just over the bar. Deportivo Riestra, meanwhile, remained resilient in defense, preventing Huracán from being effective.
The tempo of the game dropped slightly in the second half. Huracán attempted to increase their attacking power with substitutions. In the 67th minute, goalkeeper Ignacio Arce tipped a header from Matías Cóccaro, who rose to a cross from the right by Walter Mazzantti, onto the corner flag at the last moment. This sequence was recorded as the clearest chance of the match.
Deportivo Riestra tried to be effective with counter-attacks in the closing stages. In the 81st minute, Jonathan Herrera’s long-range shot went narrowly wide. In the final minutes of the match, Huracán increased their pressure, but Deportivo Riestra’s defense held firm. The referee awarded five minutes of stoppage time due to time-keeping, but no further goals were scored.
With this draw, Huracán failed to win in their last two matches, while Deportivo Riestra extended their unbeaten run to four games. The hosts were left disappointed at their inability to translate their dominance into goals, while the away side secured a point thanks to their defensive resilience.
